The Stormriders brand is always evolving as we morph with the evolution of youth culture. From the eclectic mix of displays and fittings and the diverse collections of brands, we have worked hard to create spaces where people can explore and engage. From vintage arcade games, to a fully functioning skate ramp and event space in our flagship store - we’re all about the experience!

Port Macquarie's first Stormriders store - Horton Street

Stormriders came to life by the need for a contemporary youth apparel store with a slant for board riding, in whatever form. Our first Stormriders store opened in December 2010 in Port Macquarie’s CBD, stores in Bathurst and Orange followed in 2011 and Kempsey in 2012. In the last few years, we have also opened stores in Tamworth, Armidale, Taree and Forster.

 The Stormriders name came from a snowboard shop in Mammoth Mountain, California, that Anthony Wilson (owner) came across in the mid-90s. Liking the name so much he registered the name in 1996. When the new “lifestyle” retail concept started taking shape the Stormriders name was a hands-down winner.

Stormriders is a unique retail experience and its look is best described as “vintage industrial” with an eclectic mix of displays and fittings. Signature features include polished concrete floors, exposed ceiling, plywood wall paneling and Hi Bay industrial lighting.

 

The Stormriders brand and product mix remains fresh and on point by constantly looking to introduce new brands and categories. Our focus on a diverse collection of brands allows us to quickly adjust to changing fashion trends.
